Turkish Armed Forces Ammunition Demilitarization Facility (MAAT) aims, with 6.000Tons/Year capacity, the demilitarization of the expired military ammunition. Special care is taken for the security of personnel and environment during the processes and most of the works are done by automated and robotic machinery. The facility design and implementation were realized by Roketsan (Turkish Rocket Industries Inc.). Construction and site works contracted to Zafer Construction Inc., whom Elektron Grup Ltd. subcontracted for electrical works.

Following works were supplied and installed within Elektron Grup Ltd. coverage,

1. 2x1600 kVA 34,5/0,4 kV electrical energy supply and transformer substation,
2. Power control system with 23 panel board, 47 distribution board, 770 kVAR RPC panel,
3. 9.580 mt. Hot dip galvanized cable tray and 2.000 mt. PVC raceways,
4. Power distribution system with 46.740 Mt. NYY-NYM types various cross-section energy cables,
5. Ex-Proof power and lighting systems with 19.700 mt. HF armored cables,
6. Voice and data systems with 7.350 mt. PD-PAP cables and 12.645 mt. UTP Cat6 data cables.
7. Communication and Data Structure with 7.080 mt. FO cable, 18 cabinets and 23 patch panels,
8. Ex-Proof CCTV systems with 5.000 mt. RG6-U6, 5.295 mt. armored cable for 71 camera,
9. Fire detection and alarm system with 11.220 mt fire resistant and 5.295 mt armored cable,
10. Installation of 131 optical, 24 heat, 73 UV detector, 73 horn, 301 alarm button and control module,
11. Building automation system structure with 20.720 mt. various type HF signal cable,
12. Installation of 341 Ex-Proof, supply and installation of 696 various types lighting fixtures,
13. Security lighting system with 53 55W hot-reignite, 96 70W HPS WP lighting fixtures,
14. Earthing and grounding systems with 18.765 mt. Cu, 2.952 mt. Steel,
15. Faraday cage and overhead line type lightning protection systems with 2.237 mt. Al. conductor.
