The construction of the Tubitak Headquarters Main Building was launched by the contractor in July 1987 and the first contract was awarded to Elektron on 17 April 1989. The complex is composed of a 25 floor main building and three annexes of 10 floors each. The total building area is over 35.000 m2. The complex is one of the highest and biggest building structures in Ankara.

Elektron Group Ltd. was responsible for the design of the complete electrical-electronic installations, the supply and installation of the equipment, and complete electrical systems.

Elektron Group Ltd. has designed, supplied and installed;

1. Electrical supply and 2x1.600 kVA transformer substation,
2. 200 low voltage main and distribution panels,
3. Earthing, grounding, and lightning protection systems,
4. 7.800 kg cable trays,
5. 70.000 Mt. energy cables of various types, electrical distribution and lighting system of more than 11.500 circuits,
6. 9.200 lighting fixtures of various types,
7. Analog addressed fire alarm system consisting of 1.085 detectors, 90 monitor and 145 control modules, 170 manual buttons, 130 alarm horns,
8. Voice and data communication system of 100e/400i PBX, MDF, more than 50.000 Mt. cabling, 750 telephone, 130 data points, telephone and data cables,
9. 60 electronic paging devices and 1.200 call points,
10. Cabling for building automation system of 300 points.
